“The Blue HeART of Europe” is an incredible initiative that brings together Nature, Art, and Sport. An ambitious project with strong social messages that reaches the dimensions of a Guinness record, untouched before in the creation of figurative art. The largest painting ever created in Albania.
Agron Hoti, the contemporary artist, returns to his homeland to give life to a project that aims not only to create an extraordinary artistic painting but also to elevate the idea that collaboration makes great achievements possible.
Event introduction
Agron Hoti was born on May 27, 1970, and began his artistic career with studies at the Classical Lyceum. At the age of 14, he competed for the first time and won two awards (sculpture and oil on canvas). Despite winning the competition to be part of the School of Arts in Tirana, he was disqualified from the system for political reasons.
After the fall of the dictatorship, like many of his compatriots, Agron Hoti crossed the border with Greece and settled in Athens in 1992. In the capital of Greece, the artist opened his first studio where he dedicated himself to sculpture and iconography for a decade. In 2001, he clandestinely crossed the Otranto Channel and arrived in Italy.
He settled in Verona, the city where he currently lives and owns an art studio as well as his personal gallery located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city. Now an established artist in Italy with a series of works exhibited in Turin, Milan, and Venice, as well as several exhibitions held in New York, Paris, Shanghai, Casablanca, and Tel Aviv. Today, Agron Hoti is the only foreign artist whose work is exhibited in the German Parliament.
Biography
Concept
The concept begins when the artist’s brushes pour onto a giant canvas measuring 7600 m2, where among the colors flow the branches of Europe’s only wild river, the Vjosa.
These branches remain untouched in the artwork, just like the Vjosa River that flows wild in its natural bed. This painting will bring together a series of personalities from the art, sports, history, media, politics, and social life in the country.
These figures will have the opportunity to, together with the artist, throw their colors and signatures on the canvas, becoming part of this artistic creation.
Concept
THE IMPACT
The impact of the event This event aims to give meaning and a significant social message to the moment in which we live. Civilization, urbanization, and nature can coexist in harmony by respecting each other. The Vjosa River is Europe’s last wild river that flows untamed, offering a magical landscape. Vjosa has been in the spotlight of many important institutions such as the European Commission for the Environment, Pindos Edvironment, River Watch, Euro Nature, Patagonia, Eco Albania, EEF Adria, Estland International Europe, as well as international personalities like Leonardo Di Caprio, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora.
It has now been declared a National Park and a protected area. All this aims to create an impact not only in the world of art, sports, and politics but also to raise awareness among the audience about one of the most important ecological issues, such as preserving the natural richness of the Vjosa River.
The entire process will be carried out in real-time in a dedicated space specifically for the preparation of this giant work of art. Enthusiasts, supporters, and even passersby will have the opportunity to document up close this colossal work and its realization.
The entire development space, which will last for several months and take the form of a giant studio, will be transformed into a recreational center where artists and enthusiasts can discuss and share their ideas about art. In the end, the project will be finalized with its unveiling in real dimensions on a night full of surprises at the “Air Albania” Stadium.
The entire field will turn into a giant canvas, and the event will be accompanied by artistic performances by several internationally renowned singers and DJs. Finally, a friendly match will be held between a team of veteran football champions like Francesco Totti, Del Piero, Zambrotta, and the representative team of the Albanian National Team.
Key points of the project
All proceeds from the sale of event tickets will be donated to realize a socially impactful work in collaboration with the Albanian government in the field of healthcare. This could involve renovating or purchasing equipment for a Pediatric hospital.
The idea of this project belongs to the artist, who has found the support of several influential partners and personalities from various fields during this journey.
Strategic Partnership & Social impact
The artwork will be divided into around 2500 paintings, and as unique pieces, they will be put up for sale. Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to acquire their favorite part of the painting through an event that will consist of a preliminary sale of the artwork. Other pieces will also be available for purchase by art lovers who wish to decorate their spaces with fragments of this painting.
Each piece will be unique, and will be delivered with an authenticity certficate and signature of the Artist.
