Agron Hoti was born on May 27, 1970, and began his artistic career with studies at the Classical Lyceum. At the age of 14, he competed for the first time and won two awards (sculpture and oil on canvas). Despite winning the competition to be part of the School of Arts in Tirana, he was disqualified from the system.
After the fall of the dictatorship, like many of his compatriots, Agron Hoti crossed the border with Greece and settled in Athens in 1992. In the capital of Greece, the artist opened his first studio where he dedicated himself to sculpture and iconography for a decade. In 2001, he clandestinely crossed the Otranto Channel and arrived in Italy.
He settled in Verona, the city where he currently lives and owns an art studio as well as his personal gallery. Now an established artist in Italy with a series of works exhibited in Turin, Milan, and Venice, as well as several exhibitions held in New York, Paris, Shanghai, Casablanca, and Tel Aviv. Counting the completion of three giant installations: “Exxtra”, “Exlissi” and “Velocita”, today, Agron Hoti is the only foreign artist whose work is exhibited in the German Parliament.
